Dr. Tom Marcel
Dr. Marcel earned his undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University and continued on to earn his doctorate in dentistry and receive orthodontic specialty training from the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Marcel graduated in 1991.
He opened his first orthodontic practice shortly after, right here in Livermore, California. Dr. Marcel is a UCSF Orthodontic Residency faculty member and is also actively involved in many professional programs, including several dental boards, clubs, and associations.
Dr. Jasmine Faldu
Dr. Faldu’s orthodontic journey began at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering. Following this, she completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine program at the University of Pennsylvania before earning her orthodontic certificate and Master’s of Oral and Craniofacial Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco.

Livermore Braces

Clear aligners are incredibly popular with both orthodontists and patients of all ages in Livermore and is the top alternative to traditional braces. Instead of brackets and wires, the Invisalign, Spark, and SureSmile systems we offer use a series of clear, removable aligners to gradually straighten your teeth.
Clear aligners are made of a comfortable plastic material and are customized to your smile to fit snugly over your teeth for a low-profile esthetic. To keep your teeth moving in the direction you want them to, you’ll need to switch your nearly-invisible trays for the next one in the series every one to two weeks as directed by Dr. Faldu or Dr. Marcel.
Removable clear aligner treatment plans can only work if the recommended guidelines are followed exactly! Aligners should be worn 20–22 hours per day throughout treatment. If you neglect to wear the aligners as directed, it can impede the results and also add time to the orthodontic process.
Invisalign, Spark, and SureSmile are most efficient when correcting many of the most common orthodontic issues. For some complex cases, clear aligners may not be a good option.
